Chief minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma launched Orunodoi Asoni scheme. Under this scheme every eligible women of the state will get Rs.1,250 directly to her bank account on the 10th of every month. Assistance is being provided to economically backward household of Assam through direct benefit transfer. A total of 27 lakh households will be covered at the rate of 20,000 household legislative assembly household legislative assembly constituency. There are two government schemes named Deendayal divyangjan Achoni and Indira miri Sarbojanin biswa pension Achoni submerged into Orunodoi scheme. This has resulted in the largest DBT scheme in the state of Assam.
